Mansfield’s Winter Fun Day set for Feb. 11- February 5, 2007 | ||||
| The Town of Mansfield's first Winter Fun Day will take place on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Mansfield Community Center. The event will include ice skating, horse-drawn carriage rides, ice sculptures, a bonfire, snow sculpture contest, hot chocolate, and other refreshments. There will also be a "Wacky Hat" contest. The winning Mansfield school and grade will receive one hour of ice rink time at the Freitas Ice Forum, sponsored by the law offices of Andrew Ewalt. Individual prizes are available, too. Bring your ice skates and test out the new skating pond at the Community Center. Bring your snow sculpture materials and your craziest winter hat for some friendly seasonal competition. The event is sponsored by the Mansfield Community Center, the Town of Mansfield, and the Downtown Partnership. Please call 860-429-3015 for additional information. (Back-up date Feb. 18.) |
