Road safety to be discussed by capital projects group

by Karen A. Grava - February 12, 2007

The Capital Projects Planning Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, Feb. 15 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Bishop Center Room 7.

The meeting will include a discussion about possible safety enhancements – both short- and long-term – to North Eagleville Road, where a student was recently killed by a hit-and-run driver as she was crossing the street.

The road is a state road controlled by the state Department of Transportation.

The meeting will also include a discussion of construction and building projects, including the replacement building for Arjona and Monteith, the student quad outside the Student Union, and several other projects.
