A public information meeting will be held to discuss a master plan for University-owned water and wastewater systems.
The meeting will take place
on Dec. 14, at 5:30 pm. in Bishop Center, Room 7, concurrent with the regularly scheduled meeting of the University's Water and Waste Water Policy Advisory Committee.
The event will present the scope and objectives of the project, and provide a forum for gathering input.
The Master Plan, required
by Connecticut Department of Public Health consent order DWS-05-78-397a, has been jointly commissioned by the University and the Town of Mansfield.
It will present a roadmap for the University and the Town to implement changes in management and operation of the water and wastewater systems, if such changes are recommended.
Students, residents, and other interested parties are invited to attend the meeting and learn more about the project.
Questions about the meeting may be addressed to Thomas Callahan, associate vice president for administration and operations, at Thomas.Callahan@uconn.edu, or at 860-486-4340.
