The University of Connecticut Women’s Center is seeking nominations for the 100 Years of Women Scholarship Award.
The scholarship fund honors a current UConn undergraduate or graduate student, or high school senior planning to enroll at UConn, who has demonstrated a commitment to women’s issues through service to his or her community or school. The award ranges from $500 to $1,000.

Forms will also be available at the UConn Women’s Center and the Office of Student Financial Aid Services.
Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to women’s issues through service to their community of school; be a Connecticut resident; be a current undergraduate or graduate student or a high school senior planning to enroll at UConn; be in need of financial assistance; and show high academic performance.
Applicants should complete all items in the application form, enclose two letters of recommendation from people who can comment on their commitment and service to women’s issues; and enclose an unofficial transcript. These documents must be turned in or forwarded to the Women’s Center, 417 Whitney Rd., Unit 1118, Storrs, CT 06269-1118 by Friday, Feb. 24.
