Long-Serving Employees to be Recognized The 18th Annual Employee Appreciation Week will be celebrated Feb. 6-12. Each year during this week, the University pauses to reflect and acknowledge the continuing effort and commitment shown by all members of the University community. Employees who had provided 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, or 40 years of continuous state service as of Oct. 1, 2004 will receive awards. These awards are in recognition of and appreciation for the dedication and commitment of those employees to the University and the State of Connecticut. This year close to 500 employees working for the Storrs-based programs will receive recognition awards. UConn also honors 136 Storrs-based employees who have achieved 25 or more years of service, in increments of five years, with a recognition breakfast. The University takes this time to acknowledge its employees’ past contributions because its success was, and its future will be, built upon their talents, dedication, and passion. |
