Graduate Recruitment Grants Awarded
The Graduate School and the Graduate Faculty Council Executive Committee have
announced that nine departments have been awarded funding for their proposals
for the recruitment of outstanding U.S. graduate students, particularly minority
students.
A subcommittee of the Graduate Faculty Council Executive Committee was formed
to review proposals. The subcommittee looked for:
- creative, feasible ideas;
- examples that reflected different models for improving recruitment of U.S.
graduate students, including minorities;
- representative projects from each division.
The winners will be asked to report on the impact of their projects at a Graduate
Faculty Council meeting in the fall.
