Women Of Color Recognized For Outstanding Contributions
The Women's Center Diversity Committee held its fourth annual Women of Color Recognition Awards Reception on April 20.
The Women of Color award is designed to recognize excellence in areas of academic or career achievements, leadership, community service resulting in enhanced quality of life, and service as a role model.
Award recipients this year are:
Bandana Purkayastha, assistant professor of sociology;
Xae Alicia Reyes, associate professor of curriculum and instruction;
and
Aliza Wilder, director of human resources.
