Public Meeting On Landfill A public meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 3, for residents of Mansfield and members of the UConn community to review the engineering design plans for capping the UConn landfill and former chemical pits area. Maps, diagrams, and copies of the design plans will be available. Representatives of the state Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and members of the technical engineering team will be on hand to answer questions. The DEP will accept comments on the plans until September 10, one week after the meeting. The meeting will be held in the Town of Mansfield Council Chamber, Audrey P.
