University renews Wadsworth membership

January 22, 2007

The University has renewed its institutional membership of the Wadsworth Atheneum, which allows faculty, staff and students at all UConn campuses to visit the Wadsworth in Hartford free of charge and enjoy other benefits.

The oldest public art museum in the U.S., the Wadsworth has a internationally-renowned permanent collection and provides exhibits and educational programs and special events for adults, children and families, teachers and schools.

Members of the University community must show a current UConn identification card to enjoy privileges at the museum.

Membership benefits include: free general admission, discounted rates for personal or family memberships or when hosting clients or friends at The Museum Cafe, free museum admission for guests, and discounted room rental rate when entertaining or holding a business meeting at the museum.

The museum has also suggested the potential for partnerships in educational programming.

For more information call the Wadsworth at 860-278-2670 or visit the Wadsworth website.
