Events to celebrate future Storrs Center

A weekend of events is planned Sept. 24-25 to celebrate the future development of Storrs Center. On Saturday, Sept. 24, a fireworks display will take place in the park at the Mansfield Hollow Dam. Bring a picnic dinner and listen to the sounds of local musicians.

On Sunday, Sept. 25, from noon to 4 p.m., the Mansfield Downtown Partnership will hold its annual Festival on the Green along Route 195, in front of and across from E.O. Smith High School and along Dog Lane.

Members of the community are invited to participate in the “tykes, trikes, and bikes” parade which will assemble at 11 a.m. in the parking lot beside the high school and will start at noon.
