Women’s Center Seeks Scholarship Applications
The Women’s Center is seeking applications for the 100 Years of Women Scholarship Awards.
The 100 Years of Women Scholarship Fund honors a current UConn undergraduate or graduate student, or a high school senior planning to enroll at UConn, who has demonstrated a commitment to women’s issues through service to his or her community or school. The scholarship award ranges from $500 to $1,000.
Application and recommendation forms are available online at http://www.womenscenter.uconn.edu, or from the Women’s Center or the Office of Student Financial Services. Copies may be made of the forms.
Applicants must:
1. demonstrate a commitment to women’s issues through service to their community or school;
2. be a Connecticut resident;
3. be a current UConn undergraduate or graduate student or a high school senior planning to enroll at UConn;
4. be in need of financial assistance;
5. show high academic performance.
Applicants should complete the application form; enclose two letters of recommendation from individuals who can comment on their commitment and service to women’s issues; and enclose an unofficial transcript. These documents must be sent to the UConn Women’s Center, 417 Whitney Road, Unit 1118, Storrs, CT 06269-1118 by Friday, March 4.
