Eleanor Roosevelt visits UConn in 1943.
First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt meets with students during a visit to Storrs in March 1943. She was on campus to meet with the UConn contingent of the Women's Lady Army, a World War II program aimed at increasing agricultural production for the war.

Mrs. Roosevelt also spoke to the campus community during her visit to Storrs. She is seen on the stage of Hawley Armory, and seated at right is President Albert N. Jorgensen.
