Nominations Sought For Women Of Color Awards
The Women's Center Diversity Committee has called for nominations for this year's awards recognizing women of color who have made a significant contribution to the University. Criteria for the awards include, but are not limited to:
- Distinguished service or contributions to the University, such as participation on committees, or mentoring;
- Academic or career achievements;
- Outstanding leadership;
- Community service;
- Commitment to enhancing the quality of life for women of color and/or serving as a role model for women of color.
The nomination form may be downloaded from the Women's Center website.
Nominations should be forwarded to Carol Millette, Women's Center, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT 06269-1118. The deadline for receipt of nominations is Tuesday, March 16.
The award recipients and other nominees will be honored during a reception on April 20.
