Nominations Sought For
2004-05 Teaching Fellows

Nominations are being sought from faculty and academic administrators for the 2004-05 University Teaching Fellows. Up to four Fellows will be honored and each will receive a stipend of $3,000. The funds are for use at the recipient's discretion in support of his or her instructional program.

The Fellows will be named at a special dinner to be held on April 15, and will receive medallions during the May 2004 Commencement ceremonies.

Teaching Fellows engage in a number of teaching and learning activities, including participation in workshops developed by the Institute for Teaching & Learning, allowing teaching assistants to visit their classrooms, and serving as mentors for other faculty members in their discipline or related areas.

Nominators are asked to prepare a cover sheet outlining the case in broad terms, and to fill out the particulars in a structured nomination form.

The form is available from Edye Gucwa at 860.486.2686, or in pdf form and downloadable form from the ITL website.

Some sections ask for details about the candidate, and it is expected that the candidate will provide these to the nominator.

Nominations (an original and six copies) should be sent to Teaching Fellow Awards, Institute for Teaching & Learning, CUE Building, Room 333, UConn U-2142. Nominations must be received by Friday, Feb. 27.
