Get Ready For Winter With Faculty, staff, and students can receive flu shots on Thursday, October 30, or Friday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Asian American Cultural Center. Appointments are not necessary. The shots will be administered by nurses from Student Health Services. There is a $15 charge for faculty and staff, and $10 for students. A UConn I.D. must be shown. Flu season runs from October through February or March. Symptoms include the sudden onset of high fever (101 degrees or more), muscle aches, headaches, and a dry cough. It is contagious.
