Advanced Technology Lab To Be
Dedicated September 15

The Advanced Technology Laboratory will be dedicated during a ceremony on Monday, September 15, beginning at noon. A reception and tours will take place immediately after the dedication. Members of the University community and the public are invited to attend. Please RSVP by September 8 to University Events at 860.486.1038.

The Advanced Technology Laboratory, together with the Agricultural Biotechnology Laboratory, are known as the University's Bio-Science Complex. The buildings represent a major component of the University's program in advanced biological research and its support for Connecticut's knowledge-based economy.

The Advance Technology Laboratory at 1392 Storrs Road was completed in September 2002. It houses the laboratories and administrative offices of the University's Technology Incubation Program, the new Center for Regenerative Biology, the Office for Research and Advanced Studies, and two of the teaching laboratories of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

The construction of the Advanced Technology Laboratory was supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy and by the State of Connecticut through the UConn 2000 Program.
