Commencement - 1949

The Commencement ceremony in 1949 was held on the lawn in front of Beach Hall, facing northwest toward the water towers. Seated in the foreground in the center is President Albert N. Jorgensen, facing the graduates and their families. Until the 1970s when the academic calendar was revised, Commencement was held in the middle of June.
