Nominations Sought For Faculty Advisor Award

The Chancellor's Office is seeking nominations for this year's Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.

The award honors faculty members who exemplify excellence in academic advising. Academic advising assists students in the development of meaningful educational plans that enrich their studies and promote the achievement of their goals; it is fundamental to creating motivation to pursue academic excellence.

This award is one way in which the University expresses its commitment to this important component of higher education. The recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award will receive $500.

A faculty member may be nominated by another faculty member, a member of staff, a student, or an alumnus or alumna.

Nomination forms are available in the Chancellor's Office on the first floor of Gulley Hall, or on the web.

The deadline for completed nominations is March 3.
