The Sixteenth Annual Employee Appreciation Week is being celebrated Feb. 3-7.

Each year during Employee Appreciation Week, the University pauses to acknowledge the continuing effort and commitment shown by all members of the University community. Those employees who have achieved milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of continuous state employment as of the previous Oct. 1 receive awards in recognition of their dedication and longevity of service.

This year 433 individuals who work for the Storrs-based programs will receive such awards.

The Health Center recognizes its long-serving employees in the fall, with a dinner for those with 15 or more (in increments of five) years of service. Last fall, 292 employees were recognized.
