Student
Poets Sought for Tour of Area
Colleges
The Connecticut Poetry Circuit is seeking aspiring student poets for a tour of Connecticut's universities, where they will have the opportunity to read their poetry. All undergraduates are eligible to apply, but only one will be nominated from the University of Connecticut. This year, Jeffery Harrison, author of Feeding the Fire, Signs of Arrival, and The Singing Underneath, will tour with the student poets. Students interested in being considered for the tour must submit five pages of poetry to Vanessa Pelizzon, English Department, U-4025, by October 10. Applicants should forward a cover sheet with their name, mailing address, phone number, social security number, e-mail address, and year in school, together with five unmarked sheets of poetry. Finalists will be announced in December and the tour will begin in the spring.
