McManus Lands Fulbright

George McManus, an associate professor of marine sciences, has been awarded a Fulbright fellowship to conduct research on "The Role of Microzooplankton as Grazers of Primary Production in Dublin Bay and the Adjacent Irish Sea - Observations and Modeling." He will be based at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, from January to June 2002, and will also participate in some European Union oceanographic cruises in the Irish Sea. McManus' Fulbright brings the University's total to seven faculty awards for the year 2001-02.
