Benton Museum Seeks Docents to Lead Museum
Tours
The William Benton Museum of Art is seeking individuals interested in
becoming docents. Docents create and conduct tours for groups,
educating and facilitating discussions with museum visitors. The
tours enhance appreciation of the artwork in current exhibitions and
the permanent collection. Candidates should enjoy working with people
and have an enthusiasm for art. New docents must attend a training
program at the Benton Museum once a week during the school year
except for holidays. The course provides trainees with art and art
history information and teaching techniques. If you are interested in
becoming a docent, contact Tracey Lawlor at (860) 486-1711.
