Shuttle Offered from Storrs to Buckland Mall
A new shuttle bus from the Storrs campus to Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester will soon be provided on a trial basis by the Department of Transportation Services. The service will be offered each weekend, beginning Feb. 10 and continuing through the remainder of the semester. Shuttle schedules are now available and can be picked up at the UConn Co-op, the Student Union and Homer Babbidge Library. The bus is scheduled to leave Storrs on Saturdays at noon, 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and to depart from the mall at 12:45 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. On Sundays, the bus will leave UConn at noon, 2 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. and depart from the mall at 12:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. All departures from the University will be from the Student Union and all those from the mall will be from the bus stop outside the Filene's entrance. Stops at the Showcase Cinemas at Buckland Hills will also be made on both days. Round-trip tickets for the service are $5 and will be sold at the Student Union Help Desk.
