University employees will have the opportunity to speak with representatives of the many benefit programs available to them, at a fair to be held on Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Gampel Pavilion. The fair is scheduled in conjunction with the medical/ dental insurance open enrollment period, which gives employees the chance to change their insurance plans.

The fair will feature 45 different organizations, including representatives from each of the available medical and dental insurance programs. Staff from the Department of Human Resources and Payroll will be available to address retirement, insurance, payroll and employment questions. Employees who wish to make changes in their medical and dental insurance coverage may fill out the necessary forms at the department's table, or may request the forms by contacting Human Resources at (860) 486-0400 or benefitinfo@hr.per.uconn.edu.

The open enrollment period runs through Friday, June 2.

Exhibitors will include several UConn departments, and four new organizations, including Lens-Crafters and the Consumer Financial Network.

The two-day event, which is hosted by the Department of Human Resources, will also feature refreshments and giveaways, and raffles for prizes, including a color television, UConn Husky t-shirts and filled picnic coolers. Blood pressure screening and cholesterol testing will be offered by Student Health Services and Allied Health.
