UConn Makes Top 10 Ranking
as Disability-Friendly Campus
September 20, 1999

UConn has been ranked as the 10th most Disability Friendly campus in the nation by We, a disability lifestyle magazine, in its September issue.

Please also see the
Center for Students With Disabilities website.

The magazine gives credit to the University's noted program in giftedness and special education, the disability awareness program that is part of the orientation for new students, and on-campus van services.

The article also notes UConn's attendant services for students with disabilities, full-time disability resource office, scholarships, and career counseling.

We also congratulates the University for the prominent availability of ramps, elevators, wide bathrooms, and easily-opened doors.
