From April 17 through May 15, you can make a bid to become the owner of a basketball signed by every player and the coach of the 1999 NCAA Championship #1 team, the UConn Huskies.

The signed balls were donated by Coach Jim Calhoun to raise funds for the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History at UConn. The Museum is moving to a new building next to Gampel Pavilion. Bidding details, including a pledge form, are available on the Web at www.mnh.uconn.edu Information about how to make a pledge is also available by phoning (860) 486-3836. Winning bids will be tax-deductible. Bids must be postmarked by May 15.

"I am pleased to give my support to the Museum of Natural History and its upcoming move to the new facility on Hillside Road," says Calhoun. "The Museum plays an important role on campus, bringing people to Storrs and contributing to the vitality and diversity of our community. The Museum's new building is a place my granddaughter and I will visit often."
