Greenspan tickets available

Several hundred tickets to an October 14 lecture by Alan Greenspan, chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, will be available to interested faculty, staff and students through a lottery process to be conducted this week.

Greenspan, who will discuss the importance of education to America's competitiveness in a global economy, will deliver his speech beginning at 2 p.m. in von der Mehden Recital Hall. Because seating is limited, officials in the University Events and Campus Relations Office decided a lottery would be the most fair way to distribute tickets. There is no charge for admission.

Anyone interested should call the events office at (860) 486-1038 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, and Wednesday, Oct. 8, and leave their name, address, and phone number. Winners will be posted October 9-10 in the lobby of the School of Business Administration, the lobby of von der Mehden Recital Hall, and the lobby of Arjona Building.

Winners can obtain their tickets October 9-10, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the campus relations office, located in the basement of the Admissions Building, 2131 Hillside Road. A valid UConn ID must be presented at the time.
