UConn community welcomes new hires

This week the University community welcomes a cadre of new faculty and staff, including nearly 60 new full-time faculty.

"Many exceptional new faculty and staff are coming to campus," says Chancellor and Provost for University Affairs Mark Emmert, who with President Philip Austin will address new faculty at an orientation today. "Our recruiting this past year has been extraordianrily successful, bringing to the University excellent academic talent in a variety of disciplines.

"I am particularly pleased that those joining are not only faculty of the highest quality, they are also the most diverse group of entering faculty we have ever had.
