Copies of newspaper insert available
May 9, 1997

On April 17, thousands of newspaper readers throughout Connecticut received something extra in their papers.

The University produced a 20-page supplement called "Energizing Connecticut's Economy." The section highlighted the University's contributions to Connecticut's economy, profiled leading faculty members and offered a behind-the-scenes look at a variety of programs.

The supplement appeared in The Hartford Courant, Republican-American of Waterbury, The Advocate of Stamford, Greenwich Time, The Day of New London and The New York Times.

The section was edited by Karen Grava Williams, director of communications, and written by the staff of the Office of Communications. Rodney Baker and Leonard Blanks of publications designed the section. Peter Morenus was the photographer. Partners included the schools of business, agriculture and engineering, Graduate School and Extended and Continuing Education.
