Brian Collins, outgoing president of the Undergraduate Student Government, has been elected student trustee to the Board of Trustees.

Collins will replace Kingsley Stewart, who is stepping down after two years. Collins received 494 votes to beat his nearest opponent, David Martin, by 273 votes.

Collins has served as the undergraduate student government president since 1995.

In another election, Keith Pixton was elected to the student seat on the board of the UConn Foundation.
