CHRONICLES:
Horticulture Club students received three crystal bowls at the 16th
annual Hartford Flower Show on February 22. This year's exhibit,
"Home Gardens and More" received awards for the best
student presentation, best vegetable garden and best use of color
in a design. The display highlighted some of the many different
ways to decorate a back yard for a Fourth of July garden party with
red, white and blue annual and herbaceous flower beds, container
plantings and hanging baskets.
Otha Brown, director of the
Waterbury campus, was inducted into the Central State University
Hall of Fame in Wilberforce, Ohio. He is a 1952
graduate.
